Write for us

Everyday People Guide welcomes pitches that make an ordinary household subject clearer, more useful or more interesting without turning it into a grand promise. Send proposals through the Contact page; an outline is enough for an initial pitch.

What we welcome

Propose a focused piece about household care, shared spaces, routine chores, familiar objects or the everyday details of moving house. Strong subjects start with a real reader question and answer it with clear explanation, careful boundaries and ideas that do not depend on specialist work.

A useful pitch

Tell us the working title, the central question, the main points you would cover and why the subject suits Everyday People Guide. Mention any relevant experience or material you would draw on, and flag claims that need checking. We value a distinct angle more than a broad list of tips.

Editorial fit

Submissions should be original, clearly written and free of unsupported claims. We do not seek instructions for hazardous repairs, professional advice or topics whose usefulness depends on rules that vary by location. Sending a pitch does not guarantee publication; proposals are reviewed for fit and clarity.

How to propose it

Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option, then include your pitch in the message. Please do not send confidential information or assume that a proposal has been accepted unless the editors respond.
