Everyday People Guide

Editorial policy

Everyday People Guide aims to make household subjects clear, specific and proportionate. We explain the basis and limits of what we publish, identify commercial relationships, and make a visible effort to correct meaningful errors.

Accuracy and clarity

We review wording for factual care, useful context and claims that reach beyond what a general reader can safely apply. Recommendations are framed as options where households differ. We do not present personal preference as a universal rule, and we avoid instructions for hazardous work or decisions requiring professional or local authority guidance.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions are made separately from commercial arrangements. Partner material and paid placements are labelled clearly where they appear, so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial content. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage, and we do not imply that a partner endorses unrelated editorial material.

Corrections

Readers can report a possible error through the Contact page. We assess the issue, correct material errors when warranted and clarify substantial changes in the affected content. We do not claim that every disagreement is an error; context and wording matter.

Images and illustrations

Some illustrations may be generated with AI. Where that is the case, they are used as illustrations rather than evidence of a real person, home or event. Images should not be treated as a precise depiction of a product or household condition.
